30th Birthday

Nothing could be better than turning 30 while in the Bahamas!! Matt took me on a Cruise for my birthday! We had a great time!! I'm a bit sunburned but it is great!!

New Landscaping

We finished the painting last weekend (minus the shutters) so we had decided that we were not going to do any work this weekend and just spend all weekend goofing off and getting ready to go on vacation. Well we left the house at 9 am thinking we were going to a few garage sales. We ended up at the paint store..picked out some paint for the 3rd bedroom..thinking we might get to that this weekend... then we went to Menards & Lowes... picked up a few more small things that we could get done this weekend....and then Matt wanted to stop by Home Depot too....well this is where the mistake was made. I suggested that we pick up some mulch to put out since we were not going to get the landscaping done this year. Matt then had a brilliant idea to see if they had any bushes on sale.... YEP they did so we ended up buying bushes, plants, bulbs, mulch and re-doing our landscaping. (It is now 3:30 when we are getting home) we we worked VERY hard and before dark (and approx 45-50 degrees) we finished the landscaping. And WOW it makes such a difference.

I will post a full house view once we get the stinking shutters finished!!

Well I guess next weekend we have to rest since we will be in the Bahamas!!!

Looking Back...

I just wanted to look back to see how far we have come with the home improvements. It seems as if all we do is work but when looking back it shows how much all of the effort we are putting into the house is worth it. Pretty soon we the weather will cause us to move back inside to work on those projects.
